These emotions can feel overwhelming at times. However, when you sort through them with a trusted therapist, the overwhelming feelings dissipate and an improved disposition develops. Depressive symptoms can worsen with time so get that treatment today! Stop telling yourself you will feel better tomorrow because as you, many tomorrows have already passed you by.
Just like depression, we all have anxiety, but if it is consuming or interfering in your life, it's time to get help. Anxiety can be in the form of "stomach butterflies" and minimal fears. However, if and when anxiety heightens, it can turn into irritability, abruptness, low tolerance, and/or panic attacks. Sometimes, because of the anxiety, a person may be short tempered and irrational.
Contemplating a divorce may be as difficult as going through one. All too often a spouse may have high expectations or disappointments involving the other spouse. Anger and resentment can then interfere with the marriage. Unresolved conflicts and misunderstandings can lead to frustration and a lack in communication. This can ultimately lead one to choose a way out, namely divorce.
In our modern day, affairs are not uncommon. Although frequently seen in life and in the movies, they are no less painful to the injured party.
Self esteem is powerful! Self esteem is transmitted everywhere - in relationships, with children, with bosses, in interviews... everywhere! The more self-esteem a person has, the better equipped they are to engage in life's challenges. Sometimes low self esteem keeps a person trapped; they are unable to realize their potential.
We all have stress in our lives. Self fulfillment is the way in which we deal with stress and how we balance our lives... Everything from medical conditions to failing marriages is blamed on stress. A person should seek professional help to learn how to balance his stress and understand how/why it is controlling one's life.
Addiction and/or substance abuse can begin to rule your life. No one 'plans' to become an addict/alcoholic, but there are ways to treat it.
Grief is a normal process and people grieve differently. Many times people become concerned because they haven't cried or because they feel numb. Yet others think "if they don't talk about it, the thoughts and feelings will go away." It is best to acknowledge the feelings attributed to the loss. Therapy can help!
